Introductions

I’m a seasoned leader with over two decades of experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries, specializing in market access and payer strategy. Over the years, I’ve built and led high-performing national and regional market access teams, medical science liaison (MSL) teams, and state and federal account management and lobbying groups.

My expertise includes navigating commercial channels, Medicare Part D, and state Medicaid and funding programs. I bring a strong foundation in launch and contracting strategies across diverse areas such as retail and specialty pharmacy, prescription digital therapeutics, and bioengineered tissue products.

In addition to my leadership roles, I’ve also had the privilege of serving as a trusted advisor to start-up manufacturers, helping guide market access strategy and contract development from pre-launch through commercialization.

Before moving into the pharmaceutical industry, I spent 15 years in clinical and administrative roles, treating patients with behavioral health and substance use disorders and directing substance abuse programs in both New York and San Diego. That hands-on clinical experience has shaped my deep commitment to patient-centered operational strategies.

I live in San Diego, California, with my wife and three daughters. Outside of work, I enjoy swimming, skiing, traveling, and reading.

This breadth has sharpened my ability to innovate, scale smartly, adapt quickly, and craft solutions that are strategic, fit-for-purpose, and hands-on.

My career began in global M&A consulting, where I built a foundation in identifying challenges and tailoring solutions—skills that translated seamlessly into building and leading Commercial Operations functions. Whether I’m guiding pre-launch analytics, managing launches, streamlining operations, or transforming entire teams, my approach is always practical, agile, and impact-driven.

Over the years, I’ve worked on therapies that demand precision and empathy—whether pioneering a digital therapeutic for ADHD or launching complex oncology treatments in highly complex markets. These experiences have deepened my belief that operational strategy should be as thoughtful and tailored as the science behind the product.

Philosophically, I balance the discipline of the Stoics with the simplicity of Curious George. That blend of rigor and wonder keeps me challenging assumptions, embracing complexity, and building strategies that fit—not force—the culture they serve.

I hold a BS in Finance from Babson College and am driven to break silos, foster collaboration, and turn bold ideas into executable plans.

My career has been centered on advancing market access, pricing, health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), and portfolio strategy as critical pillars of success in the biopharma industry. I have led access and pricing initiatives at large multinational organizations and steered strategy for agile biotech startups, developing scalable solutions that optimize patient access and maximize product value across oncology, hematology, immunology, rare diseases, and biosimilars.

Over the years, I have established dynamic market access teams and governance frameworks that embed access and pricing strategies into organizational pipelines, portfolios, and business development efforts. Whether managing pre-launch analytics, driving pricing innovation, or crafting access solutions for novel therapies, I have played a pivotal role in U.S. and global product launches.

I have worked with influential organizations such as AbbVie, Sanofi, EMD Serono, Coherus Biosciences, PTC Therapeutics, Eagle Pharmaceuticals, Simon-Kucher & Partners, and Bridgehead International. These experiences have provided a foundation for evidence-driven strategies and stakeholder alignment, enabling success in complex healthcare ecosystems.

My academic background further enhances my ability to bridge scientific innovation and commercial execution. I hold a Ph.D. and M.S. in biomedical engineering, an MBA, and a B.S. in Chemistry. This multidisciplinary education equips me with the technical and strategic expertise needed to craft solutions that align clinical development with market access priorities, delivering measurable impact for patients and stakeholders.

At the heart of my leadership philosophy is collaboration. I believe market access is not just a tactical function but an organizational mindset that transforms how companies engage strategy.
